I’ve had this satin, polka dotted fabric hanging around forever. I don’t quite have enough to make any interesting clothing out of it. I finally came up with this cute belt yesterday. I love it with this classic dress, but I think it would go great with a little black skirt suit as well.
Cotton-poly belt with contrasting thread to set off the black and white bow. Hooks in front with two sets of hook and eye fasteners.

The original intention here was to make an accessory for a pleated skirt I created out of the same tweed fabric. After some minor tweaks, I think it stands alone as a bold accent for any favorite dress, solid top, or suit.
It was appropriate as my first venture, as I think it captures what my main goal is whenever I design something new. I give vintage elements a modern twist, for what I consider very wearable, unique, and a little nostalgic.
